Caroline Groenewald
, or Aunty Caroline as she is affectionately known, is a fourth-generation traditional fisherwoman born and raised in the Skipskop fishing community on the Cape South Coast of South Africa.  Caroline's family were forcibly removed from Skipskop under the Apartheid regime. She speaks of the pain of this displacement and the effect it had on her family, who moved further west to settle in Struisbaai. Caroline recalls how they used to live off the sea at Skipskop; fishing and foraging along the shoreline. She used to skip along the stone fish traps or 'viswyvers' along the shoreline – 'those were the days'. Caroline and her husband Petrus supply ecologically responsible and socially fair Fish With A Story via ABALOBI MARKETPLACE

you mustn't cook fish dry ... because then it isn't lekker ...

I just want to say the person being served must thoroughly enjoy eating this dish, because it was cooked with love. the cook who PREPARED it, DID so with her heart.
