Wondering how to dress up your potatoes? A GooD sprinkle of Sea Lettuce Salt lovingly crafted by women in small-scale fishing communities – adds that extra special salty sea flavour & mineral punch to steamed new potatoes. Give it a try!

Coastal Pantry:  Sea Lettuce Salt With A Story

Occasion:
 Easy weekday, Effortless entertaining, Braai dish




Ingredients

Sea Lettuce Salt With A Story from the Coastal Pantry 

500 g new potatoes, washed

1-2 tbsp of olive oil

1 tsp of capers 

½ red onion, finely chopped

 




Method

  1. Place the potatoes in a pan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until tender.

  2. Drain and drizzle with olive oil. Stir in the capers and onion.

  3. Sprinkle over 1 tsp of Sea Lettuce Salt, taste for seasoning, add a little more if required and serve.
